Left or right side plug will not arc 1/4". It has a white spark with plug set to spec. Is there something I can check, before I remove the mag, or should I pull it and send it for repair? I checked the freshly rebuilt, wico C on my 39H, and it will spark blue 1/4". If the B is a short lug I'll rob my 39H (still under construction) till I get the B mag fixed. I think the spark was weak and I was flooding it before I could get it to fire off. It always started and ran so good till this problem. Oh well, Hman

HMan, if you are working with an X, I would install a new coil, points & condenser, set the point gap to .015" & try it. That is usually all that goes wrong with an X. You might not need the coil but they are cheap, easy to install & you might as well while you have it out & apart. Look at the cap & rotor for cracks & if none found don't repalce. If the coil core is rusty, clean it while it's out.
~Make sure you have solid core plug wires, carbon core TVRS wires don't cut the mustard with a mag .....
