Michael, I seriously doubt that your tractor is the only powershift 7000 to ever fail, so don't feel to bad about that. However, we generally don't see a lot of transmission problems on the 7000 tractors. At least no more than any other model of tractor. Most of the 7000 tractors around here seem to be equipped with the Power-Quad transmission, but there are a few powershifts also. Usually problems are related to the shift encoder, sensors, linkage and the like, rather than outright mechanical failures. How many hours does your tractor have on it, and which clutch pack was it that failed? I can get on DTAC and see if there are any solutions/cases relating to that clutch pack and determine how common this is. More than likely you just had a random failure, though. There are a few bad apples in every barrel, regardless of the model or manufacturer of the tractor.
