Worked for John Deere dealership in 50's & 60's, and you could listen to a 2 cylinder engine at work and tell the difference, the fuel burner always sounded like it was slobbering and the gas burner always had a clear crisp sound to the exhaust tone. You didn't even have to see the tractor, you could listen to the sound of it and speed of the engine and tell if it was gas, or fuel, dubuque, or waterloo. Can't distingush that with the newer engines, that can run at variable speeds. Gene

David, the Dubuque tractors that were (all fuel) had a petcock on the left side of the oilpan, to drain off excess fuel in the crankcase. Don't know if the Waterloo tractors had them or not.

37G is correct. Your tractor was shipped 3-12-59 to the New Orleans branch then to Athens, AL. It is an all-fuel.
