Jim,

I keep hearing that it doesn't matter ;)!

Seriously.....46 inches sounds about right. I'll measure the one on my '50 A when I get home and post results.

Thanks, I only bought this tractor about 6 weeks ago.my friend inherited it and he didn't want it so I made him an offer and he took it. The draw bar was missing a piece so I added what I thought was about right and I was wrong. Too short! today I made it 46" long and that was just right!! I have a John Deere GYRAMOR 207(I think?) any way I needed to mow the weeds ,now It works great!!!
thanks again!! morgan

Morgan, to be sure your drawbar is the right length and adjusted properly for your pto application the drawbar hole should be 14 inches from the end of the pto shaft (or 16 inches on a 1000 rpm shaft, which of course you don't have). This will assure smooth power delivery on your cutter (or any other pto job you do). Hope this helps. Mike
