Apparently this site isn't monitored very well, if at all, otherwise the dunce who is harrassing our good friend and trusty consultant Clooney wouldn't be alowed.

Are you really, Dillon? You just finally posted something that doesn't contain the words moron and idiot, in regard to the cultivation question. There's hope for you yet.

If you are not Dillon but just share an internet connection with him I am very sorry for any misunderstanding.

Alfalfa, actually Kim does a good job of removing unwanted visitors & if you find something offensive or off color just E-Mail her @ [[email protected]] & within a short time it will be gone.
~A good while back this site was changed to a registration type site & it suffered badly from lack of participation & lack of new viewers, so within a short time it was changed back to an open site. The problem with an open site is the occasional trouble maker, but that is the trade off needed to have an easy to use & access site. Kim will quickly address any problems as long as she either sees it or someone tells her..... ..... ..

Seems to me that making this web site is like growing and maintaining an alfalfa field. Both take a considerable investment in time, effort, and expense.

The difference is that you sell your hay, or use it to feed critters that you sell or in some way hope to gain from by feeding them. On the other hand, the folks who run this site give away their product, the fruits of their labor and their investment in these discussion boards, in hopes we'll buy something from them at some time or another.

You probably wouldn't seed alfalfa on that basis, so I think it's wrong to denigrate the efforts of the people who have seeded and run and own this site. The occasional harassments are minuscule, obvious and insipid in comparison to the number of benefits people derive here free of charge.

Here's capitalism: Pony up the bucks to buy a domain name, set up a site, write all the html, cgi, java, etc., stock it with content and paid resident experts then charge a monthly admission fee. Spend a lot in promotion to get the word out and attract customers, as well. Kick out the guys you think are jerks, thieves or scoundrels... and be sure to retain some expensive lawyers to defend your actions. Sort of like running a magazine -or maybe worse, isn't it?

Think you'll make money on that deal? Or, think you have enough spare cash lying around to keep this deal afloat for a year, two, or five? Care to bet the farm on this deal? If not, then here's wisdom: "don't look a gift horse in the mouth." If so, then go do it -- try your best-- and see.

I come from a long line of capitalists -- aka farmers -- so I think this way. It's in the blood. If you'd care to enlighten me to a better way, I'll look forward to your comments.
