Brian, If your Dad enjoyed restoring his 620, odds are he'd enjoy putting together his own cover. Besides, when you say things like "custom made" -- the price usually escalates dramatically. We've got 60 to 70 barn swallows -which is great- except when they bomb the tractor seats. Got 9x12 (green, no less) tarps for around 9 bucks each. They have grommets ever 2 or 3 feet, and already had a bunch of bungee cords around. There's enough to cover from the seat back to the front of the hood. Plenty on the sides. Not a custom fit - why spend a lot on something that'll be covered with bird droppings in a week or two. But with scissors and more grommets you can customize to taste. The swallows don't dive bomb -- just "death from above", so just worried about the tops of things. Works great. If you want custom, I'd try a boat supply place -- lots of 12 and 14 foot boats, basically the same dimensions as a 620 row crop. As an aside, despite the poop, I can't recommend barn swallows enough. They are just great! They follow the tractors everywhere in the fields -- swooping and diving as you kick up bugs. I've got my own personal air show whenever I go out. Cuban 8's, Immelmanns, hammerhead stalls, Split S's; they know enough to teach at Top Gun school. When you add the bats in the loft, we've got 24/7 protection from mosquitoes (no west nile panic here) and other flying insert vermin. Seven broods of split tail aerobats have fledged so far this year, and we have another group coming along nicely now. I'll endure the poop and mess with tarps any day so long as those guys stay around. my 2 Steve
