I have a late model B, and not quit sure how to adjust the crankshaft endplay. I have clutch engaged, when pulling back and forth on clutch handle with out disengaging it, i have 8thousands
endplay. With clutch disengaged, pushing and pulling on flywheel, I have the same. Do I want to adjust it engaged or disengaged? Is .008 to much or to little? Also if I adjust the clutch tighter will that take up some endplay? If I am doing this wrong please expain the correct procedure. Thanks

Endplay spec on your "B" is .005 to .010", as it seems to be on all Waterloo two-cylinders. You're dead nuts in the middle, so let it go.

John, I think Clooney says to adjust endplay, you move the flywheel side to side to check it. If you need to reduce the endplay, you loosen the flywheel bolts and while pushing on the right side of the crankshaft, push the flywheel in tighter to spec. Hope this helps.

Your .0008 will be just fine You don't need to change it. the cluch adjustment will not change the end play
