I saw, about 10 years ago, a JD 50 with a Barbar-Green or a Cedar Rapids name plate on the side. What type of work would this tractor have been used for. I know that these were paving machine related. It had a single front wheel and shorter rear wheels.

Dan, You may have seen a JD-50 modified by JD for Barber-Greene, which B-G installed their model 550 loader assy. on. John Deere just provided the 50 has a power unit, made several modifications over a regular ag.50 including 28" rear wheeles w/industrial tread tires. Somewhere around 200 were made w/most having lost the loader years ago such as the one i have. I have restored mine back to JD-green and yellow as it left the factory. gwh

gwh Thank you for the info. I wish I had bought it when I had the chance. It was JD green and yellow. I think I'm going to begin a search for it. I found a factory LP 50 this week and plan to start with it soon. My book said only 731 of the factory LP 50's were ever made.
