Has anyone seen a picture of an IH M painted green? A JD in red would be even better. I've seen the M photo but can't remember where. Need to print some out to stir up some buddies. Thanks

This tractor looks good compared to a pink Farmall "M" I saw near Stoughton Wis. about three weeks ago.

It's all my fault. I posted a faked photo of the 50 with MCCORMICK FARMALL H (probably should have been Super C?) 'paint'ed (Microsoft Paint) on the hood, and now there'll be green IHs and red JDs all the way from Clifford to Little Meadows.

Yeah, right.

An auctioneer got sued a few years back when he sold an IH disc, that was painted green, as a JD. Pretty big settlement!

Back in the 60's a farmer north of town had what looked like a Ford 9N or 8N painted green and yellow. Looked like a "factory" job.

Yeah it's still there. Go to the IH/Farmall forum and do a search for the day of 29 Jul 2002. The search is for "neighbors" tractor.

Yes. It was on the Farmall site about three weeks ago. It was a Farmall M painted in JD color scheme. I saw a similar tractor myself, (may have been the same one) on I-69 south bound out of Michigan a few years ago.

JH,

If the tractor you saw off of I-69 was about 110 miles south of Michigan, then it's the one that lives close to here. It's across I-69 from an Amish store in an otherwise abandoned stip mall. But who knows-- there may be more of em' along the way to Michigan.

Here's the picture you're talking about. This isn't the same H. Our local JD / IH M doesn't have fenders, does have all yellow wheels and has John Deere instead of Farmall decals along the side. I think our local prankster did a better job, although these yellow Farmall decals are kind of different. Wonder how much he'd want for it.

Looks like that IH has JD fenders as well. Looks like a cross-dressing tractor.

That's the one I saw. It was about two years ago or saw and I had to do a double take to make sure of what I had seen. I like them all too. IH/Farmall Red or John Deere Green will take me back to my youth in a heartbeat. They are all good, none bad. Each model has it's own purpose.
