Would my '63 4010 Diesel pull a 5-16" plow? I will be plowing 10-15 acres at the county fair of grass and oat stubble. The ground is pretty much flat. My tractor is is a 4010 Diesel with a M&W Turbo and 16.9.38 rears without fluid and no weight on the rear. I can have up to 5 weights on the front. Also would I have a problem with the tractor overheating? Any help is appriciated. Thanks!

You should be able to pull 5-16 with a 4010. But if the ground is very heavy you will need weight on the rear. I used to pull 6-16 with a 4020 but needed a lor of weight. 6-16 was an over load in our clay soils.

My 4020 was never comfortable w/ 4-16's at walking speed and a full bite. This in south Ga. Many clay (gummy) spots.
