This is the beginning of a restoration project, and I know very little about John Deere, and yes I ordered my parts catalog from John Deere publishing yesterday. I put oil in the top part of my lift last night and engaged the pto and the lift raised. Does this thing operate off of hydralics? It topped out and now I'm wondering how to make it go down? I'm new to this so any information would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

David,

There should be foot pedals that you lower the lift with. If you push them down once it goes up and push them again and it will go down.

Hope this helps

Sam
