What parts are swapable between 70's, 720's,and 730's? I've got a early 70 gas that needs all clutch parts and a engine block. Are these parts swapable? What about lp, all fuel, and Gas blocks? I know that the 70 all fuel was bigger in cubes then the gas,(dont think I'll find one) but how far can you bore the gas block, is .125th the max?

We bored the 5.875 blocks for M&W pistons part #AP143 6.125 bore.for LP gas That made the LP tractor 56.7 hp. The LP gas 6' bore was #AP142 (54.6HP) For gasoline only AP#141 5.875 bored to 6.125 (55.1Hp). For gasoline 5.875 to 6'bore #AP140(53.1hp) The (G) pistons won't work in the 70 gas block. I hope this helps.

The blocks on the 70 gas and all fuel have the plug holes in them and the 720's and 730's have the plugs in the head.I bored my 70 gas .125 over with aluminum high compression pistons and had good luck.My machinist told me that the boring made it from 379 ci to a 396 ci at 1/4 inch bigger cylinder.I was told that .125 over was the most I should go when I done mine.I am not sure whether the clutch parts are the same but I put all new clutch dogs and toggles in mine,"boy"what a difference that made in my clutch operation.
