Hey guys:

What's the value of a 435 in fair condition? It has new rubber, needs a little steering work and needs paint. The sheet metal is pretty straight, just needs cleaned up. I'm located in Ohio.

Thanks

Be careful of a little steering work. I put a fortune in manual steering in a 420 slant steer which is close to the same setup. U-joint, worm box, pedestal bearings etc can be bad and some lparts are costly or hard to get. Power steering adds to the complexity.

At least as much as a 320 in similar condition.

Depends on condition, area of country and how many deep pocketed people want it at the auction. There was a 320 dragged froma lake on E-bay last year worth about 50 cents. A fully optioned and properly restored or excellent condition origional 320 will easy top $8000.00US. Slant steers are more and the rare V's are way more.

If you have one for sale I'll take it for a reasonable sum. Best decription of Dubuques is in J.R.Hobb's book Little Giants.

G.Taylor; One of my tractors is a 320 "Utility" slant stear, Industrial model S/N 325277. That's pretty rare! Tugboat

The V was a standard with taller front spindles and 34" rear tires, pretty rare. Our club show a week ago had at least four 320's and three 330's. Even had two of those weird looking row crops with the wide ajustable front end. One was a 50 and the other a 60. Over 125 JD tractors in total.

G.Taylor; Where was that show? I live in NC but I am not afraid to travel. Perhaps I could attend your show next time. Take care and thanks for the info. Tugboat

I know they are tough. I married one in Ottawa in 1962. She beats me at everything!

Yes sir! I have all of the paperwork here. I found it at a sale in Georgia. It needed and received lots of TLC. (320"U" 325277) It's a slant steer model.
