Larry,

No you should not run the tractor until you drain and refill the crankcase. I have a 1958 620 gas also. They come equiped with an oil pressure activated gas bowl directly beneath the gas tank. The oil pressure diaphram is most likely ruptured which allows gas to backflow through the oil line and eventually finds its way to the crank case when the engine is not running. Especially if the tractor sits in the sun and the heat expands the gas tank pressure which really forces the gas into the crankcase. I'm not sure what parts are avialable for this problem since I have not been faced with the problem yet.

Hope this helps.

Good luck,

Dick
