Ever noticed the tractor on the labels of equipment paint from tractor supply? It was a red JD, no joking! Some one slipped! :-)

Are those Deere flat top fenders? And are all the plug wires hooked up?

You need to remember, "The shoe also fits on the other foot as well". Just take a look at the link attached below. Maybe this person feels the same as your reply stated:
"This is what happens when a guy can't afford a real tractor!"

The deeres are not bad tractors to own or use, but without a doubt they are the most costly to restore.

Are you old enough to remember when FARMALL was the KING, and yes they DID made REAL tractors as did so many of the other companies that are no longer in production today.

I am sure that every old tractor owner may feel as though their tractor is the best, and also the only "REAL" make that was ever manufactured.

But thank goodness it's just paint, at least the owner did not let it rust away.

The first tractor I ever owned was a 1944 Farmall H. Bought it when I was 14 years old. I sold it 12 years ago and it is now sitting derelict in a barn and the guy really wants to sell it back to me. I told him "no" but now after seeing this I'm thinking... maybe?!! :>)

go back and check your history! I.H.C. was building one and two cylinder green tractors (reallly) while J.D. was still just a plow co. and didn't have a marketable tractor of their own yet. i saw a late model B painted I.H. red and had the yellow decals (red paint made them look gold) it looked good and probably got some of the J.D. execs to thinking.
