This should bring a few comments. I am ready to decal my 52 G. The instructions say to place the JOHN DEERE on hood approx. 8 in. back from front seam. I re did a 50 G several years ago that had original decals. Left side was 2 1/2 in. from seam and right side was 9 1/2 back. 8 in. back would put it right over the 2 rivets that hold the shutter control brace. My 52 G does not have the rivets, so where is the proper placing? I noticed several late G's at expo that had both sides about 2-3 in back. What is consensus?? Help

Larry, In early 50 on the A and B they moved the decal from the center of the hood to near the seam like you say. (2 1/2 in.) Would think the G would be the same.

Yes, all models had their decals moved forward. Putting decals on my 50 MT, Travis Jorde with my serial # advised me to place my Deere decal forward on the hood.
