Does anyone have a picture of the way this thing maounts in the tractor? Perhaps an exploded view.
Someone decided a different radiator would work instead of the original JD radiator and has evidently lost the original mounting hardware. So I guess I will have fabricate something or get new stuff from JD. I just purchased a new radiator from JD [WOWEEE!!!] but don't see how to mount it. There is a hydraulic fluid tank about a foot long and about 6 inches wide that will interfere with the radiator mounting correctly.
Where should this tank be mounted?
Thanks a bunch
Mark

Mark,

Sorry, don't have pictures. Imagine a letter F that's upside down and has a long tail on it. The tail goes up the side of the radiator. The inside transverse platform of the F holds the bottom of the radiator, the top one has a hole to bolt up to the chassis. There's lots of foam rubber on the mounting points and the long bolts that come up from below have springs on them -- the whole thing is designed to flex.

The hydraulic reservoir has a bracket that mounts to the piece on the gas tank which also holds the air cleaner, so it ends up right above the main pump. There's about 1/4 to 1/2 inch clearance for fore and aft flex of the radiator.

OK.
Does the hydraulic reservoir mount above or below the gas tank bracket? Looks to me like it mounts above. Do you think JD will still have this bracket for the radiator?
Thanks a bunch Steve for all your help on this thing, it is greatly appreciated.

third party image

Mark,

Maybe a picture will help. Went out and pulled of the side screen and took this picture looking up towards reservoir. It's in the dark area at top. The green thing is a bracket welded on the reservoir that bolts to the gas tank bracket.

Don't know if JD has the radiator holder or not. I'm amazed by the things they do have. Worth a try.

THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
MUCH APPRECIATED
I THINK I HAVE IT RIGHT NOW BUT, I STILL NEED TO REMOVE THE GAS TANK AND REWELD THE MOUNT BACK ON THE GAS TANK THAT CAME LOOSE. IT'S NOT HOLDING THE RESERVOIR UP CLOSE ENOUGH TO THE GAS TANK AND ALLOWING IT TO CONTACT THE RADIATOR.

THANKS AGAIN
MARK
