I am purchasing a 420T LP. The tag reads: 420 T L 131692. My question is the T and the L look stamped at a later date, they are sort of leaning as if done by hand, is this common and did Deere do this? Thanks for any replies.

Wayne,

I wish I had your problem, my 430 T-LP had no tag when I bought it. I obtained a repro tag through John Deere, but it is a modern day barcode. Most of the original LP tags that I have seen are similar to what you describe. Most of all enjoy!

Thanks for the replies, I guess there is not supposed to be a "P" this one only has the "L"

Wayne, I've seen a number of 420/430 LP-Gas tractors, and the "L" appears to have been hand-stamped on all of them----and often times like maybe the stamper had a BAD hangover!! LOL. Nothing to worry about.
