Hi there, Does anyone have a picture of a JD B or A with a factory Front Mount snowblade assembly. I was told one was made for the tractors but have not been able to find a booklet or picture of one yet. I want to make one so I can use the old B this winter instead of going backwards pushing snow, I can go forwards and smile all the time I moving snow.

Scott, What you are looking for is the "ABG-90". Plow for snowplowing and light movment of rock and dirt. When the letter series was dropped in favor of numbers it became just the #90 Plow. They were operated from the rock shaft by extensions w/the cultivator arms to a pair of cables to brackets off the steering post. Have 3 of them we put on tractors for winter fun.

Do the cables rub on the bottom of the rear axle housing? My 1950 B has grooves rubbed into the bottom of the rear axle housing, possibly from snow plow cables????? I'm afraid my axle housing is going to break there.

Craig. No rubbing of the axle housing a snowplow with incorrect length arms at the rock shaft could cause that problem(too short). gwh

I have an original ABG-90 snowplow extention arm that fastens on to a cultivator arm just like shown in the instruction book. I'll have to figure out how it fits some day. I suspect someone put something together wrong in the past. Sure would take a lot of rubbing to make the grooved in the bottom of the axle housing I would think. Also there are marks in the paint around the square holes in the side frame below the sparkplugs. Any idea what kind of JD attachment would have fastened there? From the book I have I don't think a snowplow bolted there.
I'll have to dig out the books and study the situation some more.
