I work on a few old tractors in my spare time, shade tree mech. A fellow brought me an 37 B the other day, want's it redone, it's been sitting outside since the earley 70's. I pulled the drain plug out and drained whe water and oil out, knowing it was solid rust in side I pulled the valve cover off, looked good no rust, pulled the cover off over the crank, looked in, no rust, couldn't believe it, inside the govner looked good too. But it is stuck. After all that here is my question, It don't have compression release valves on it, I thought all of them had them. Is this one suppose to have them? Thanks Andy

No. When Deere came out with the B. She was small enough and had low enough compression that they didn't put petcocks on the tractor. When the B got bigger and more compression, they put them in.
