Are the injector pumps the same on 830 and 730 diesels? I have a leaky 730 and have a chance to get the pumps from an 830 but need to know if they deliver different amounts of fuel. Thanks .

Ted the pumps are the same ( 13mm.)however you will have to have them recalabrated so might as well stick with what you have and have them rebuilt .Albert knows his stuff as well as anyone.

It's all clearly stated in your parts and service manual you are working from to save time, money and ensure proper assembly of your tractor. If you are operating from by guess and by golley the parts CD DB1293 shoes most two cylinder JD's. cheap from Deere at 1800-522-7448. The blackdash 820 & 830 used 13mm pumps and the 80/green dash 820 plus the 70/720/730 used 10mm pumps. In any case a 42 plus year old 830 pump is likely to leak as a 42 plus year old 730 pump. Pullers have added the 13mm pumps to tractors originaly equiped with 10mm pumps. One of the best shops in the business is Albert's to repair the pumps and general repairs is

Sorry, I should check the parts manual instead of my memory sometimes. The 70,80 and green dash 820's used the 10mm pumps. Blackdash 820's,830's,840's,720's& 730's all had 13mm pumps.
