Here is something that has my dad and I scratching our heads early in the morning. He went out to pump up the tire b/c we were draining calcium out of the wheels and he noticed gasoline running out of the axle. We just put new gear oil in it yesterday b/c it didn't have anything but water in it. So how is the gas getting into the rearend? The gas was left on.

Sounds to me like the gasoline first filled the crankcase and first-reduction cover, and then worked it's way into the transmission/rear axle housing. Looks to me like you're going to be changing engine oil and rear end grease again.
