First, I'll say that there is no 100% sure way to tell an L from an LI without the tag. Too many things can be swapped, or were options! Froom your short desription, it fits the normal features of an LI, but here are some other details to look for. These only apply to LIs built from 1941-1946! Earlier industrials were just Ls painted yellow, and recieved no special parts. --Eight Gallon gas tank --Hydraulic pump (option for LI) --51 inch wide front axle-between tires (option for LI) --If it has an electrical system, two headlights for LI, one for L --If the frame is a soild rod, instead of hollow tube it is a late LI, but many earlier LIs had hollow tubes like a normal L. --The foot throttle was a standard part for the LIs, but Ls could have them too. And if you look on the transmission rim, about an inch in front of the seat support, if the letters "LI" are stamped there, then you have an LI. The LI is faster in road gear, getting to about 10mph. LIs are usually considered slightly more valuable than a normal L, but I can't give you any figures. Good luck, and try the link below, Brandon
