I have a 730 with a loose flywheel is there a way to tighten it or do I need a new one. If I need a new one can someone lead me to some good part suppliers.

Go with the Taper-lock flywheel if you have to replace yours. Taper-lock flywheels don't come lose and they weigh more then stock one do.
I had to replace one on my 730d when chunks of cast-iron came out the side of the flywheel cover.
Be careful out there.

John, you can try new grade 8 bolts with hardened nuts & washers but if the splines are worn very much on either the crankshaft or inside the flywheel all it will do is crack the flywheel.
~Without being able to see the crank or flywheel I really can't give you advice on what to do.
~Depending on where you live, maybe someone with diesel flywheel experience can drop by & take a look at it for you.
~If the flywheel splines are worn to the point that it won't hold & the crank isn't in too bad a shape there are repair flywheels called "Taper-lock" sold by [Dingler] & others that have a collar inside the spline area that will tighten on the crank when the big nut is tightened.
~I don't really care for those taper-locks but that is about the only option you have if the crank splines are worn [ a good chance if the engine has been run with a loose flywheel].
~If you are really lucky & the crank is in good shape then a replacement flywheel will work good, [Caution; it is very difficult to find an original flywheel for a diesel that doesn't have the same problem yours has & the wear is difficult to see without trying the flywheel on a good crankshaft]. Personally the only way I would buy a used flywheel for a diesel is if it came with a money back guarantee or I personally removed it from a known tight tractor..
