Hello, I have just purchased a 1958 420 Utility (slant dash) and I need some help identifying what I have. It came from the factory with the following options; 6.00-16 and 11-26 tires, 11" rear rims, Lighting equipment, speed/hour meter (4 speed),clutch type reverser, deduct 3 point hitch & load and depth contol, missing CJ205 & CJ265, painted industrial yellow, "factory" power steering was added by the dealer when new for the original owner. The tractor was used at a concrete plant as a rear-mount fork lift up until 2001 when my uncle bought it, I got it in February of this year. It needs totally gone over, the engine runs but smokes bad. I don't want to start my restoration until I know more about what I have so I can plan from there.
Thank you, Greg

Deere can do a serial number trace for $25.00 to find out more info. Nice catch finding a tractor like that.

Thanks for getting back to me. I had a serial # search done by the 2Cylinder Club is the one from JD different? If so do you know who I need to contact?

Thanks, Greg

Should have the same results but not certain especially with Dubuques. The Deere site's collector area has the serial number search e-mail address.
