My dad brought me his J.D. 1380 mower conditioner to cut my hay, there are three hydraulic lines from it, not counting the hydraulic motor for the swather, where do I put the three hydraulics on my 831-CK case tractor. Does the 2 for the hydroswing go to pressure/return, and the third is for up and down of the whole swather, where does it go? It seemed weird because there was only one hose for up and down, not pressure/return. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

WEll, guys, went to the dealer this morning. Looked at the 4020, started her up ran the loader up and down(bucket was not on it) at teh time. Looked it over pretty good top to bottom, drove it and the whole hood and everythng shook bit time from side to side. One of the mechanics came out too look at her with me, we found all three bolt holding the dash support to the trans. housing gone. Put some new ones in and it drove great. Just sitting here waiting on her to be delivered, Yep went ahaead and got it. Looks pretty clean too. Motor runs smooth, love that 6 cyl. John Deere diesel sound! Just with the thing had dual hyd outlets, they have tapped into the side to run the loader off of a valve on the fender. Thats cool with me but I want dual hyd on it later on. Had to add them onto the other 4020 I had a few years ago. Oh, yea big surprize tires are good all the way around on her as well as pretty fair paint. I'm thinking of taking the loader and fliping the ex wifes car over, preferably with her in it, not really but it is a fun thought!
Thanks for the good luck vote.

I just bought a 1380 a couple two or three weeks ago. The single hyd. line is for lifting the cutter up and the double is for swiinging the tongue. The single line for lifting the cutter is used because gravity will take care of the job for you. Mine works great behind my 3020 and if nothing happens will be getting a 4020 with a 48 loader on it tommorrow. Everyone cross your fingers for me, I need the help!
give me a shout back if you run into anything on the cutter that is a problem, maybe we can both help each other. I love mine, its great to cut 14 feet at a time for a change, leaves a real pretty field.

The single line goes to the pressure side of your SCV.If you had a Deere it would be the left side of the two fittings. On a Deere,"left is lift",God did I get tired of hearing that as a kid.Not sure on a Case.
