I have a G #23217 i know this is a straight G and that it is the same as a GM. Does anyone know of any others. Mine has the pan seat and battery in front with john deere on back axle.I heard there is only around 2500-3000 later GMs built that have a straight G tag. Has anyone seen one for sale, what are they worth.Any other info would be appreciated. Another little tid bit that i noticed is the casting # on the governor housing is upside down.

Matt, starting at serial #23000 to #25671 Deere made a G with a steel seat. Starting at serial #26000 they went to a bench seat.
