Replaceing the governor bearings on my H. To get the bearing off the mag end of the governor shaft, do I need to pull the drive gear and fan shaft gear off and pull it off the left hand end, or do I pull the mag coupler and pull if off that end? If it comes off the mag end, what is the best way to get the mag coupler off?

Thanks in adavance.

Gary

Gary, Everything has to come off the coupler end. I used a wheel puller on the coupling that had an attachment that clamped over the coupler first. After you remove the coupler remove snap rings as you go. Be carful when pressing off the fan shaft gear and drive gear as many are broken (huge expense) during this procedure. Charles Lindstrom 816-232-5868 has all the parts if needed. Good Luck, Rich
