Hi, I have a 48 john deere B with a broken 12 tooth axle. I found what i believe are two older B`s (no serial # , no rocker shafts and duel fuel tank caps) but they have 12 tooth axles. Will these fit my 48. Im kind of new to these two bangers but have always wanted one to restore. Any help would be appreciated. Greg

Greg, The best answer is to get a parts book or get some help from your JD dealer and be sure the part numbers are the same. I just have to ask, how did you break an axle? I hear from parts dealers that they never sell axles cause nobody wants them. What happened? My guess (which is not worth anything) is that the axles interchange.
