3020 coming up at a sale has what looks like a brake hub between the axle housing and rear wheels. Connected to that is a handlever with a ratcheting stop. The shaft to the linkage that controls these hubs runs just in front of the seat and is supported by a couple pillow blocks mounted to the operator platform. Looks like a hand operated parking brake. Tractor is a RC Diesel Syncro in the 84,000 s/n range. The s/n tag is on the right frame rail beside the engine and has some English and German markings. Looks like it had a hard life under a loader. Shame, I'd like a nice 30 or 4020.

It is, as you suspect, a park brake. European Spec. tractors had these as a requirement. Tractors are licensed as road vehicles. Probably had different lights and fenders at one time also.
A domestic 3020/4020 would have the SN plate on the rear RH trans. case near the PTO shaft.

It sounds like it's a 3020 LANZ Standard. These tractors were built in Waterloo, equipped to German standards and then shipped and sold there. Probably less than 200 were built.
