Finished putting the machine back together after reringing & valve job. The machine started right up and ran for a minute and cut out as if the fuel was being cut off. Ran it off and on for several minutes opening the adjustment screws on the carb to max to have it run.

I noticed antifreeze leaking from what seems to be between the manifold and the head on the top of the engine.

Could antifreeze be messing up the fuel mixture, cutting the engine? Could the head gasket be leaking instead of the manifold gasket?

Denny, I'm betting your leak is where the exhaust manifold studs or bolts go into the head, [not unusual if no sealer was used on the bolts or studs].
~Open the petcock on the bottom of the carb & make SURE you have fuel flow for AT LEAST 30 seconds, if not find the reason & repair that first..... ..
