45W Loader: Need some dimensions

The two side brace pipes (turnbucvkles) on my 45W loader have a pipe sleeve welded over them, and it appears this was done to lengthen the unit. If anyone out there has a 45 or 45W (I believe the pipes will be the same) could you give me the measurement from end to end of the pipe portion. I may not have to return them to the original length, but if I do, then I'll have the dimension.

Thanks !

I've got a 45 on the 60. Will measure it for you after bit when I'm out there. Don

The tube, end to end, including threaded areas is 46 3/4 inches. There is probably 6 to 8 inches of adjustment when on the tractor.Had to heat these to free them up when I got the loader! And you are welcome Frank!

I just got finished heating and turning to get mine out, too ! Must be the nature of the beast. Looks like there was lots of rainwater and dirt in the low end.

I coated the threads on mine with anti-seize when I was finished cleaning them up. Its been probably 10 years, and they still work freely. It is always kept in the shed too. I doubt many of these old timers had that luxury back 40 to 50 years ago. That will make a real nice unit you have there. I recently bought a 3 bottom roll-over plow for my 630. Haven't gotten it home yet, but intend to soon. Hope to be able to get it restored before the harvest festival next month. Good luck to you! Don

DP:

This one even has the hydraulic bucket, which I thought might have been less popular than the trip type. I don't think it is an original 45 bucket, but it should be fun to play with. It might look a bit odd on the narrow-front row crop 70, though.

I've never worked with a rollover plow. That would be interesting to see.
