Anyone have a suggesstion, we already broke 1" grade 8 bolts on our puller. Dont really want to beat the he#* out of them with sledge. We did heat them when we tried the puller. Its for a pulling tractor and were going with 9 bolt hubs.

Last one I moved hadn't been loose since the 50's. I took the hub clamp off and went for a drive around the pasture with it. Once I saw it start to move slightly, I went back to the barn and she was just right to move. Didn't break anything doing it either. I had soaked it down for a while with WD40 just so it would slide easier. Might be worth a try. What would you have to loose.

Mike I have some "G"'s and the easest way I found if you get a stubborn hub, soak it for some time then get a fifty-ton port-a-power and rig you a puller up. Note the port-a-power has to sit on end of axle, remove the wheel clamp but leave the big cast iron wheel center bolted to hub if you try to pull hub alone it will break.been there done that, but I still use the broken hub bolted to a nine hole rim(had to open wheel bore just a little). The clamp will hold in place once tightened and this is on a 800 in. "G" good luck Gman

I might suggest leave the tension on and soak it
a long time in penetrant,or heating hub and cooling the axle with water while under tension,or get a pipe to just slip over axle and try to drive it on a little to loosen it. I always hate to heat and beat on cast iron I don't know if these are cast iron or steel. Sometimes cast iron takes a beating and sometimes it seems to break if you look at it funny. Lots of luck on it.
