Jericho is pretty much on the money, however if it has fenders or a three point a person can pay alittle more. if you don't wont the wide front, you can sell it for 800-1000, and get a 300 dollar rollamatic. If it had fenders on it, then the tractor is worth 400 dollars more, and a 3 point is worth nearly another 1000 dollars. so if it has wide front, 3point, flat top fenders, and runs decent it is worth right at 5,000 dollars, and you'll have to make deductions for lack of options and general condition. I saw one bring 6500 one day at an auction. It had all the above options, plus a hysrolic cylinder, and the original owners manual. It was a one owner, and everyone knew that the farmer had taken care of it, and dispite the original paint, it still looked good. Good luck at the auction.

The 730 is an excellent tractor. Personally, I perfer the Diesel to the gas, but to each his own. It should be about 53 drawbar HP and 59 on the belt pulley. Depending on the condition of the tractor, the value may differ dramatically. I'd say for a well used, average condition, straight from the farm 730G, anywhere from $3500-$5000. Hope this helps.

If the wide front turns out to be a standard chassis tractor instead of a rowcrop, grab it quick if it's a gas 720 or 730. At least semi rare to rare tractors. Fuel consumption is excellent for a gas and fair if it was diesel. About 11HP per gallon of fuel per hour.

My J.D. book shows this model being produced from 1958 to 1961...the gas model weighs 6,790 and the diesel model was 7100 pounds. It will pull a 5 bottom plow,or an 18 foot disk/harrow and there was 6-row planting and cultivating equipment also available for it. It was the most popular of the "30" series tractors, and yes, the gas model is pretty economical to operate, depending on what you're doing. Hope this helps. Jim
