I saw your "parts wanted" ad on Rummy's, but I couldn't respond there. I have an air stack with the mushroom cap from a JD70 but I think the part number is AF2281R not AB4830R. I also have the casting F2224R if needed. Is this airstack different on a gas versus a diesel???

Looks like the same stack was used but the casting that sticks into the aircleaner and the stack bolts onto is different.B 3363 R on a 50. F2224R is the cast base # listed for diesels. It would be a tidy little factory option for one of the 70's however.

G Taylor...are you restoring a JD50 and want to put a precleaner on it? Can't say I've ever seen a 50 with a precleaner so I imagine trying to find the cast part that goes into the air cleaner may be a good challenge.

Never seen one except in the parts book. It appears there was a factory retrofit available to install intake stacks on the 50,60 & 70. Instead of the Donaldson centrifical bowl on top to catch some dirt, there was just a mushroom rain cap of sorts.Different than than the 20 & 30 series setup. Looking for these plus other weird & wonderful options along with tire pumps, remote cylinders and even dream of finding a factory 1000rpm pto for a Waterloo tractor. Makes for conversation at shows & baffles/annoys the correct police.

G Taylor..speaking of "correct police", I was at a tractor show today and saw a 1950 GR (G standard) and last week I saw a 1945 wide front H!!! Probably one of a kind stuff, huh?
