Operator's and parts manuels available from JD, through dealer or 800 number. Swath board is for cutting hay, it pushes hay in so there is open space at the end of the sickle to so the hay doesn't clog the inner end of the sickle on the next round. Can easily be made from board(preferabley hard wood) if you can find one for a pattern. Have also seen generic type available made of steel. If these are available from deere they are probably over priced.
