Why does the transmision oil light keep coming on after about 2 hours of work?
It only comes on when rpms drop below 1500,the other problem is the low side of the quad-range will start to slip in the high gears on C or D range.Does this sound like weak charge pump,or internal leak in the two speed clutch?
Ran fine for 7 hours on the round baler as long as you stayed on the high side.Anybody had similiar problem or ideas on where else to check?

If your tractor has a transmission oil light, then it is too new.

the light is on probably because the pressure is low. this corresponds to the other problem. there is an internal tube on the hi lo unit that activates the hi lo shift valve in the unit.in older machines ther used to be a sheet metal holder for this tube that used to break and create such problems, it was replaced with a stronger aluminum holder,

Of course the tractor has to be in half to do this right? Or do I have to lift the cab off and go in through the top?

Well the good news to the bad news is: It can be done if you know how to do it as it is a little tricky but better than splitting the tractor. Sounds like David is got you headed in the right direction. Remove the clutch control valve on the left side of the clutch housing and reach to the opposite side of two speed to feel for the filed line and replace it if that is what you find. It is not easy but I have done many and it can be done. Replace the line with the new style clamp as David mentioned and your leak will probably be taken care of. The longer you run it with it slipping the greater the chance of two speed clutch damage. Good Luck Dave W.
