I posted a message several weeks ago about my 4010 having a squeeling sound under the seat. I took her to the nearest Deere service location and they found a sticking brake valve and the load adjustment screw (inside) to be sheared. After she got home I turned her loose in the pasture with a root pulling blade on the 3pt. She worked just fine without squeeling untill the blade started to dig into the ground. The squeeling started again but would stop when the 3pt was raised. After working the 3pt a while I noticed that the squeeling starts when the implement was on the ground and the wieght was off of the rockshafts. When the rockshafts were lifted just enough to move the implement upward (put wight on the 3pt). The 3pt moves up and down just fine until it hits the bottom and then starts squeeling. Was the load adjustment screw not adjusted properly when it was replaced?

You have a high pressure leak to sump. Good chance it could be your thermal relief valve leaking. This if fairly common. On a 4010 is very easy to access. Take it back to your dealer and tell him to check it out. Valve is located on the edge of the hitch valve cover cap. Takes a 1/2" wrench to remove once the sheet metal side cover is off and out of the way. Good Luck Dave W.
