I have a 1957 720D. The pony motor has spark to the points but it only goes to one cylinder. The spark at the pints seems to be good any ideas? Thank's Shane

Shane, both plugs have to work for the coil to function [if one wire is out or open both cylinders on that coil will not work].
~With that in mind, carefully remove the 2 screws holding the coil core to the distributor & pull it slightly away from the housing then look behind it to see if both plug wires on that coil are still plugged in [if not you probably found the problem]
~If they are both solidly plugged into the coil, remove the wires going to the condensers & power stud, then slowly pull the coil away from the distributor housing & as each wire becomes accessible remove them from the coils & mark the position on the wire & coil [or piece of paper] so the wires can be put back correctly. Once the coils are free from the distributor housing remove the center core from the coils [it just pushes out] & note which way the core springs on the core & wires on the coil face for re-assembly purposes. ~Once the center core is out, use a power wire brush & remove all the rust from the core laminates & screws. Then clean the copper ends on the plug wires & use a small brush or rolled up piece of Scotch pad & clean the holes in the coils where the wires go in.
~If that doesn't get it going then you probably have a fried coil or bad plug wire.
~If it still doesn't run on all cylinders try swapping the coils on the core & see if the problem stays with the cylinders or moves with the coil.
~I have found over the years that cleaning that core & the plug wire ends & coil holes will get you back up & going in many of the no spark cases. Of course it could be failed condenser, failed coil or faulty plug wires but most times I have found the above will work [unless the ignition switch was left on, in that case suspect a failed coil]..... .....

One of the coils has likely shorted to ground or the other plug wire on that coil is grounded. Check primary & secondary windings with an ohm meter to be certain.
