How do I make the float adjustment on a DTLX carb? This is on a 1935 D. I am not sure where to measure.

Cheg, the usual place of measurement is the top of the float to the bowl gasket surface.
~One of the problems with those old DLTX carbs is the cork floats have been replaced with brass floats. If it still has the cork float then setting the float height will probably be iffy at best, as the old cork float is probably fuel logged enough to not float at the correct height anyway.
~If I remember right the spec for float height is 1/2" but that was for the cork float.
~I don't use any measurement on those old DLTX carbs, I just set the float level, or if the carb is off, flip it over & set the top of the float [the surface closest to the bowl gasket surface] to be parallel with the bowl gasket surface..
