I am going to look at a 46 A that supposedly runs and is in decent shape. Fairly straight tin and an older quick paint job.

What can you tell me about it? What to look and check for...

It comes with a sickle bar mower, 2 bottom plow and a disc.

They did not know alot about it, except for the implements should be the correct size for tractor because it was the only tractor the man owned.

What is a fair price? They want $1700.

Is it pretty much a normal A, in other words, no special wheels or a different front end? Fenders, or any other add ons?

All in all, A's are pretty common. But if it is pretty good and straight and with the matched implements, I don't think that the price is too bad. Would be a gem to show all the equipment as well as the tractor. Implements are getting harder to find in good shape. Particularily if all are in good working condition.

Supposedly it does have fenders on it, but I am not sure if they are original or not.

It is located in southern Iowa
