Looking at a 4320. Cranks and runs out good, Good rear tires, 2 remotes (one doesn't work - bad lever), good sheet metal. I had to pick up on the shift lever to change gears. Does this sound like an expensive fix? I pulled it in all gears - seemed o.k. to me.
Also, do these tractors have 1 or 2 hydraulic pumps? Reason I'm asking - when I let it run while holding the clutch pedal down, I lost pressure on the brake pedals. When I let off the clutch, the brakes tightened back up.
What cha'll think?

Mitch, it's not uncommon for those synchro-range shifters to get some wear in them. They're not real expensive to fix - it just depends on where the wear is. All the parts you need to get the shifter in shape are still available. The tractor has one main hydraulic pump and a gear pump in the trans that charges the main pump. When you have your foot on the clutch, the trans pump isn't turning, so it isn't supplying oil to the main pump - that's why your brakes got stiff. Good luck with the 4320 - they're pretty good old tractors.
