Clooney, awhile back I was working on 60 with loader that will not lift. while it lifts good now, but there is noise now. Sounds and feels like it's coming from the small pressure line.
sounds like air in system, loader lifts good though. Just replaced o-rings from jd on both ends of lines. Hooked tractor on disc and used for awhile tonight still has noise when pump is under load. Will not make noise when in fast down but will make noise in slow down, and noise in fast or slow raise. I know that gasket on top of the power-trol unit is blown out from foam leaking out. This shouldn't cause it to suck air though? This is second pump that works but makes noise, but not as much as the other pump. Is there suppost to be a pick up tube in rearend for suction line or is it just a cast housing? Could I have a valve in that power-trol unit in wrong, or could the power trol unit gasket leak between two passages and cause this Sucking air)? I am out a ideas. Just can't figure this out. Thanks for your help.

JD JACK, it sure sounds like air in the system, or a restriction in the suction side.
~Do you have the metering screw turned in until seated? If not that could be some of the problem in the slow down & slow rise, it shouldn't effect the fast up or down.....

Yes, metering screw is seated. Going to try a different power-trol unit today.
