I tried to take the head off today. I took the carburetor off and noticed that there was no gasket on the air intake end, and the bolts from the right side on the air intake end are missing. I tried to take the manifold off, but the bolts were very stuck. I took the tappet lever cover off. I tried to take the head off, but I found out a 17mm socket (the biggest one in the set) was too small. In putting the tappet levers assembly back on, I discovered that the tappet levers assembly is broken through the right bolt hole. I didn't see the piece that broke off anywhere, so I think it must have been apart since that broke, meaning it probably ran that way. It can't be tightened very much, or the nut pushes the tappet levers assembly up. Should I replace this part? If so, where can I get a new one, and how much would it cost?

I've got the head off my 50 to repair a crack (ouch!). I left the manifolds on. It was very heavy, but I didn't have to break any bolts.

To change letter size, colour, font:
[SHIFT COMMA]font size=s color=ccccc face=[QUOTE]fontname[QUOTE][SHIFT PERIOD]text[SHIFT COMMA]/font[SHIFT PERIOD]

s is not the point size. It ranges from 0 to 7. The higher the number, the bigger the text.

ccccc is actually three 2-digit numbers. The left characters are red, the middle ones are green, and the right ones are blue. 00000 is black. 990000 is red. FF0000 is brighter red. FFFFF is white. 0000FF is blue. FF? In order to put higher numbers in two digits, 9 + 1 = A, not 10; F + 1 = 10, I think.

fontname is the name of the desired font, such as MS Serif, Georgia ref, Courier New, et cetera.

text is whatever text you want to look different.

You can use only size, only face, only color, or any combination in a font change.

You can also make text bold with [shift comma]b[shift period]text[shift comma]/b[shift period], or italic by typing i instead of b.

I wouldn't use metric wrenches. It's too easy to round off inch standard bolts and nuts. Also, I'd replace that rocker arm stand. If the rest of it breaks while the engine is running -- it can get a bit expensive.
