1, i painted my tractor last week. before i painted i took off the mag, when i replaced i am 180 degrees off i switched the spark plug wires and it runs fine , is it ok to leave it this way? 2. this problem has been with the tractor since i bought IT ,if it is a problem, normally tractor starts good, when the tractor is running above idle every minute or so it misses a beat, is this the nature of the beast, or what could my problem be, most everything has been gone through. THANKS JERRY

That mag will fire once per crankshaft revolution anyhow so it will be ok. You can always take the mag off and turn it over and switch plugwires if you want. It won't make a difference in running. That missing out part could be any of a number of issues. Best advice I have is to check your plugs after you use it a while and see how they look. That doesn't sound like it misses much to me.
