Getting ready to paint my JD B and was wondering how much paint I'll need. Will a quart of JD yellow be enough for the wheels? I got all the paint off the wheels and used that "EXTEND" stuff from NAPA that turned them nice and black. Do I prime them before painting? I'm thinking 3 coats on cast and maybe 5 on the tin. Will this do? Also, when they say to allow one coat to "tack off" before the next one, does this mean that it should be dry to the touch? Finally, how long can I go between coats before I'll have to sand?

Just had my unstyled B painted. A gallon of green and a quart of yellow and a gallon of thinner. Got back enough yellow back to do the lettering plus on the castings front and back and over a pint of green. Had round factory spokes front and rear, the whole tractor was soda blasted to bare metal, and primed. Good luck, it will be worth it.
