John----- -

Tire options were 7.50x36 and 9x36. The latter translates to 9.5x36 in todays sizes.

John:

I'm looking at the Miller Tire catalog/flyer, and it has the explanation of how old tire sizes were measured by tread width, and now they measure by maximum width at the sidewall.

That said, their table shows old 9" = new 9.5", old 10" = new 11.2", old 11" = new 12.4, old 12" is new 13.6, old 13" = new 14.9".

Hope this is what you're looking for.

John, I don't know what width rims you have but I think the rule of thumb is the tire size should be about 1 to 1.5 inches wider than the rim.
