I got out the '57 720 gas to plant early beans with the other day. It lifted my JD 7000 6row narrow bean planter but not nearly as fast as my 3010 did. I know that the hydraulic pumps between the two tractors are drastically different. I need to know if it is possible to increase the flow rate on the 720 to make the planter lift faster. I havent checked the pressure with a guage and it does settle under load somewhat but it still lifts it. The problem is that the amound of seed that you let fall on the ground as the drive chains are disengaging is far too much to be efficient. It has a 4" cylinder on the planter, maybe I could use a smaller cylinder to increase the rise rate but if I go too small It might not have the pressure to lift the planter. If anyone has thoughts and/or suggestions they will be much appreciated. Thanks Tyler

The 720 has only 1200-1400 psi and no way to increase flow,The 3010 has 2300 psi,By puting a smaller cylinder would take more pressure to move and the 720 wouldn't be able to lift it at all
