I went to adjust the front end and the tubes are stuck together. Any suggestions how to get them unstuck without breaking anything.

Thanks Bill

I have a 430S and went thru this ordeal. with the front end supported on two jack stands. I was able to insert a very large punch into the open slot near the spindle knee. Then put a long pipe on this, push/pull on the pipe to rotate the leg.
With the use of a good penetrant and possible some heat as well. Rotate it as you work it out the tube. My right side was more difficult. but with one side removed i was able to stack some heavy long bars in thru the open side. Under the center pivot and punch out the other leg. At about an 1/8" inch at a time mind you. but it did come apart. Good luck

On my 40S I pulled out the pins and took off the clamps, put a 1/2" bolt through the pin hole and then drove it around a little bit. One side came loose, I haven't gotten around to working on the front end yet so I don't know about the other side.

An old man that had a blacksmith shop told me " what stuck it will free it" and it seems to work pretty good. Fill the tube with water and apply a little heat if you can. I think steam will loosen what the best penetrant won't touch.
