60 powertrowl not working right

We are fixing up a 60 john deere and can't get the powertrowl to work right.The outlets on the back that you use to hook hose up to work and will raise and lower. But we can't get the rockshaft to move . when we move the lever for the hydro the rock shafts dont move.
can any one tell us what could be wrong?is the some thing broke or missing ?

Yeah, what Clooney said! You can't use the rockshaft and the hose fittings at the same time. The other adapters block off the hose fittings and divert it to the rockshaft cylinder so you get the hose fittings for the external cylinder, or the rockshaft, but not both at the same time.

Kenny, do you have the correct adapters in the power-trol hose outlets? If they are for hoses they probably have closed fronts. ~If the hose outlets are on the side of the power-trol box you might have a selector valve(s) with knurled cap on it/them. If so the valve(s) must be open to operate the rock shaft [remove the knurled cap & open the inner valve]
~You must have adapters that have "open" fronts, or if you have the selector valve(s) they must be open for the rock shaft to operate. ~If all checks out ok there, post back as you have something else wrong....

clooney you was right i had closed fronts in there changed to open fronts and it works good now.
